FOOTPRINTS IN THE ASH; A Pompeii Mystery - Stanley Salmons

Stanley Salmons was born in Clapton, East London and graduated from Imperial College. His subsequent academic career took in posts at the University of Birmingham, Harvard Medical School and the University of Liverpool, where he is currently Emeritus Professor. He is internationally known for his work in the fields of biomedical engineering and muscle physiology, published in over 200 papers and nine books (see Academic site).
Stanley lives in Wales with his wife Paula, an artist ; they have three children, seven grandchildren and two insane cats. He’s an accomplished modern jazz pianist, a competent photographer, and a moderate but keen fly fisherman.
Although still actively contributing to the real world of research, he maintains a parallel existence as a fiction-writer. Varied collections of his short stories have appeared in anthologies, and his work has been serialised.
Footprints in the Ash is his first novel.
